Summer is almost over and we are getting ready for a new and exciting training year. 504 Cadets will start up again on 7 September 2016 @ 1830 hours at the Hangar. Please take this opportunity to trade in any uniform parts and parents please accompany your cadet in order to sign annual paperwork. New Cadets are welcome this night to sign up to be a 504 Air Cadet.
Classes will begin 14 September 2016 during regular training hours (1830-2130hrs).

We wish everyone a great and safe summer. The squadron will be on stand down over the summer. First day back is 7 September 2016 during regular training hours.
Band Practice – 13 Monday, last practice before ACR, everyone please attend.
Level 3 cadets will be doing rewrite aviation exams Wednesday 15 June, first block, study, study.
Bottle Drive – Wednesday 15 June, in house bottle drive, bring your empties.
ACR – Saturday 18 June
The 67th ACR will celebrate our cadet’s accomplishments their graduation from their respective training levels. This celebration will feature a ceremonial parade, team performances, static displays followed by the Awards Dinner.
Staff and Senior Cadets will arrive at the hangar NLT 0900 hrs on 18 June 16 in civilian clothing with uniforms in-hand.
All other cadets will arrive at the hangar NLT 1000 hrs on 18 Jun 16 in civilian clothing with uniforms in hand. Cadets will put on their parade boots upon arrival for the practice.

***Please note: Saturday is a long day, make sure cadets eat a good breakfast before arriving at the hangar. Lunch will be provided.
Gliding Day – 28 May cadets arrive at hangar 0730 hrs, bus will leave at 0800hrs. Lunch will be provided. Cadets ensure you wear proper foot wear, hat and water bottle.
Survive Air Team – 27 May, meet at the Jefferson Armories @ 1430 hrs, cadets will be back Sunday 29 May 1300hrs.

VIMY TRIP 2017 – The participant list for the Vimy 100 trip has been posted on the squadron bulletin board. The revised dates for the trip are April 2 to 11, 2017. The updated itinerary for the trip is also available on the bulletin board with copies for trip participants to take. An update to the trip was also provided at the Friends of 504 general meeting on May 18, 2016. Deposits ($150 for each participant) are due no later than May 25, 2016. Any questions can be directed to Mr. Yun.
SurvivAir Practice – Tuesday 6 – 8 pm at Goldbar Park. Please bring water and a snack. This is the last practice prior to the competition.
Congratulations to Lightning Flight for being the top bottle collectors in the latest in house bottle drive. The next one will be June 1st, 2016.
