Training Officer Year End Address & Farewell

Hello 504!

We’ve come to the end of another training year, and while we’ve concluded under unusual circumstances, your collective and individual accomplishments are cause for celebration all the same! I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your professionalism and dedication to the 504 family, not only over the past few months, but for the entire training year.

To the Training Staff… Without a doubt, you are the cogs that keep the training machine running. Thank you for all your hard work, especially over the past 3 months, ensuring that your cadets continue to be engaged, even if we couldn’t all be in the same physical space.

To the Warrant Officers… You have proven time and again that you are all capable of accomplishing incredible things. Your passion for the cadet program and your exemplary leadership through the course of the year has been nothing short of inspiring.

To the Senior NCOs…I continue to be impressed with what you have accomplished throughout the year. Be it pivoting from classroom to online instruction or developing different strategies to keep your cadets engaged regardless of the environent, you truly have lived up to our “Determined to Deliver” motto.

And last but certainly not least, to the cadets… the sky is the limit for you! Continue to work hard and develop as leaders and good citizens.

I’ll end with an announcement – I am moving on from 504 Squadron at the end of this year to pursue other opportunities. It was a difficult decision to make, but in the end, one that was best for the squadron and myself. You all have a special place in my heart, and I promise I won’t be a stranger!

All the best to everyone and please stay safe as you enjoy your well-deserved summer break.
